second month results

the second month results are in! not quite as impressive as the first month but still progress.

this month was the 'push' phase of clx. the push phase is designed to get you ready for the last 30 days of the program. lifting heavy (and I mean heavy) weights is the key. it was so cool to be able to do sumo squats holding 40lbs over each thigh. however, this was not my favorite month...not to be too much of a whiner, but it was HARD! so due to the nature of push, I didn't lose much weight (6 lbs) BUT I did lose 3% bodyfat and another 5.75 inches (for a grand total of 20.5 inches)!

I'm excited to get through this last month and on to my next workout program. I have decided to jump on the insanity bandwagon! it will be a crazy 60 days starting august 31...yikes!

first month results

what a month this has been! I've been completely focused on my journey of fitness and have learned so much. the chalean extreme (clx) workouts are amazing! I also discovered turbo jam, hip hop abs, and rockin' body...all very fun workouts. sooo, my first month results...drumroll please........

15 lbs lost, 14.75 inches gone!!!!

I've changed my diet dramatically. I found this incredible book which gave me all the knowledge to make easy and realistic changes to the way I eat. If you are a fan of jillian michaels, you must read 'master your metabolism'. absolutely life changing!

I'm ecstatic! I never thought all this would or could be possible. I'm looking forward to the next phase of the workout and hope I can maintain or exceed in the second month.

hope everyone is having a rockin' summer and happy 4th of july!!!

the time has come

to finally work on a new home improvement project...me! sure, I work out here and there and for the most part watch my diet. however, it's time to make some **major** improvements!

my friend told me about a friend that bought the chalean extreme dvds. apparently, this person swears by the ce workout and has noticed tremendous results. since I'm always willing to try something new, I ordered my dvds from amazon and will have them in my hot little hands on monday (love amazon prime!). normally, I would not divulge such personal information on a blog but I feel the need to be accountable and what better way then to speak about it here! although, don't expect to see pictures...I gotta be **extremely happy** with the results before I start posting pics of me!

I still plan to keep my blog card-centric but will post my progress from time to time. and speaking of cards, I plan to get back in the swing of things (participating in card challenges mostly). a pesky thing called work has kept me too busy to think about card making. plus, I strongly believe in the blogging without obligation philosophy.

one more thing...check out my store! Smiley from millan.net

riviera maya souvenir ~ day 1 blog candy

I'm just now getting around to posting this cutie souvenir I made for my friends. I looked high and low for something not plastic-y and crap looking but could not find anything I liked. the mayan beaches are fabulous so I decided to scoop up some sand and bring it home to make something myself.

I found these clear, egg shaped ornaments at ben franklin's and thought this would be perfect for my souvenir. I stamped a beach image, added riviera maya...voila! instant souvenir! adorable!! Smiley from millan.net
