During Christmas, I made my friend's mother Christmas tags. She liked them so much, she asked if I could make place cards. I guess during the summer they like to entertain and she goes all out. Since she is Hawaiian, this was a perfect opportunity to use hula girl from a muse art stamps. I love this stamp and these little place cards were perfect for miss hula girl. The tutti frutti petaloo looks like a hibiscus and matches the flower in her hair. For a little sparkle, I used a sakura gelly roll pen for her top.
Ahhh, how I wish to be laying in the hawaiian sun...it's so cold here in Seattle...bhRRR!

My sweet little nephew is turning '2' and this cute little changito monkey reminds me of him!
I wanted pure simplicity with this card. I used dimensionals and dazzling diamonds to make changito 'pop'. The dp is basic grey recess and the base is certainly celery.

My sister called me today asking for a retirement card for her boss. Her only requirement was make it sparkle! I wasn't sure how to make it sparkly without compromising the 'professional' side. My friend (who is visiting) suggested I add iridescent embossing powder to 'celebrate' for a subtle sparkle. The ribbon and rhinestone brad were the perfect touches of bling.
Can't wait for the day I receive my retirement card!!

I'm loving these amuse weekly challenges! This week's challenge is to make a window card.
The SWAK stamp by Missy Balance (for amuse) fits perfectly behind a su scallop punch. I used the nestabilities circle scallop to make the frame. Pearl ex and spica glitter pens were added to the cutie swak for sparkle. The 'special delivery' sentiment is from the holiday greetings clear stamp set...so versatile!!

I made this card for a valentine swap. Since its a stampin' up thing, I tried to use all su materials. I think I did pretty good except for a couple items on the card (twinkle dot and nestabilities scallop).
I usually don't have time to make up a bunch of cards all at once but since I've been in valentine's mode this one wasn't too hard to do. I just hope the gals like it.

I recently signed up for the amuseaddicts group on yahoo and decided to try the weekly sketch challenge. I used my favorite amuse stamp 'twin cupcakes'for the square challenge.
I love chocolate (what crazy person doesn't?!) and used my craving as the inspiration for this card. The pinks and browns make the card look rich and chocolatey.
I colored the cupcakes with prisma markers and spica glitter pens. I used the k&company smitten paper again (I LOVE it!) and SEI's shimmer eclair for the band in the middle. The finishing touch was pink and brown polka dot ribbon. Delicious with a capital YUMMY!

Today I received my wintertime fun stamp set from cc designs. I had seen this penguin on someone's blog and had to have it. I colored him with a black prismacolor pencil (+ gamsol) and prismacolor markers. Under his bum, I added some dazzling diamonds for sparkly snow.
I also received my rectangle scallop nestabilites set and wanted to play around with those. I probably should have minimized the width around each scallop but oh well...it is what it is. The sentiment is stamped with brilliance graphite black and I added iridescent sparkle embossing powder. Very cutie!

I've never been much for valentine's day. I think it's a day hallmark made up to torture those who are single or going through a rough patch. Thankfully, I am neither single or troubled but since there is no other 'holiday' coming up, I figured I'd make up some cards for the nieces and nephews. Candy with a card makes any kid happy. Okay, enough of my rant...
This stamp is from stampin' up's priceless set. I love this set! It's so versatile and I know I will use it a lot. I think the middle piece of the card looks like a yummy chocolate cookie. The little hearts on the design paper are foil and shimmer just a bit...very cute. I added an a muse twinkle sticker to the middle of the flower (on the stamped heart) and diamond stickles. As always, I've got to have my sparkle.

I took a little trip today to A Muse Art Stamps brick and mortar store in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle. I love that store! So many fun stamps, paper, and pens!
I wanted to get a couple more valentine stamps and found these cutie (yes, racquelly I'm using your word!) cupcakes. I think they look more like truffes but I love them anyway! I decided to create a simple card and used a fabriano notecard. I attempted Crissy Armstrong's watercolor method and I love how the card turned out. I added a muse twinkle stickers for the cherry and the middle of the bow. So very cutie!!
